Sheri Fortin has had the pleasure of being a companion and caregiver for an amazing lady who struggles with age-related dementia. This experience has led her to be involved in Norma Smiles, wanting to improve the lives of one of our most precious assets, our Elders. Working closely with the family, Sheri has witnessed the many hard decisions that need to be made, where to find resources available and how to meet each day that may bring new challenges. It has been her honor to be a part of the many precious moments during this journey.
Before realizing her passion as a caregiver, Sheri owned a construction company for 27 years and was also an Instructional Special Education Paraprofessional for Littleton Public Schools for 6 years. A native of Colorado, Sheri has 2 daughters and was an active volunteer for the school district. She has been involved in the care of various family members, giving her a personal perspective on the importance of compassionate care and assistance.
